"Breaking this silence" at the Maison de France, Institut Français de Berlin invites patient-artists and artists working on the question of the body to take part in artistic research on the theme of endometriosis through narrative, autopathography and narrative medicine. The works of art question the epistemic injustices and cultural, historical and mythological constructs hindering the care of women suffering from this disease. The exhibition is based on the conviction that the function and power of narratives lie in their ability to create a world.
Writer and art historian Paul Ardenne has done us the great honour of writing about the "Breaking this silence" exhibition. His text, "Un art du soin: faire de l'endométriose une esthétique", puts the "Endométriose Academy" project into perspective in the history of art and in the care movement, the culture of concern for others forged at the end of the 20th century.

[co]mapping endometriosis related injustice
Dr Alicja Pawluczuk, Leeds University's IN+ Network
"This seminar is a collaborative event between the Endometriose Academy, Endo Violence Collective, and the University of Leeds, bringing together community expertise, creative research, and academic insight. Rooted in the concept of endo violence—a framework co-developed through lived experience, artivism, and interdisciplinary research—this gathering invites participants to reflect on the systemic and everyday injustices faced by people living with endometriosis. Through dialogue, short presentations, and collective reflection, we aim to open space for critical discussion, solidarity, and justice-centred imagining."
